Transforming a Golf Practice Space with Bespoke Spray-Painted Artwork
Over two days, I was commissioned to transform a golf practice venue in Hackney Wick, East London, with bespoke spray-painted artwork. The project involved painting a large central pillar and the shop window, bringing colour, movement and a distinctive urban aesthetic into the space.
The aim was to create artwork that complemented the venue's contemporary interior while adding personality to an environment dedicated to golf practice and entertainment. Combining realistic imagery with expressive graffiti-style lettering, the design brings together the precision of sport and the energy of street art.
A Large-Scale Pillar Mural
The central pillar became the focal point of the project. I painted a tall, full-height composition featuring a golfer viewed from behind, surrounded by bold colours and dynamic graffiti elements. Working on a narrow, vertical surface required careful planning to ensure the artwork remained legible and visually striking from different angles throughout the venue.
The realistic figure contrasts with the expressive lettering and graphic details, creating a balance between figurative painting and urban street art. The artwork also makes use of the pillar's architecture, turning what would otherwise be a structural feature into an integral part of the interior design.
Spray-Painted Shop Window
Alongside the pillar, I painted the shop window using spray cans, extending the visual identity of the artwork beyond the interior. Working across both surfaces helped create a more cohesive look, connecting the venue's branding and atmosphere with the surrounding space.
Using spray paint allowed me to work freely with colour, layering and graphic details while achieving a finish suited to the contemporary setting.
Commercial Mural Painting in East London
This project is an example of how bespoke murals can transform commercial interiors, leisure venues and customer-facing spaces. Rather than leaving structural features and windows as blank surfaces, custom artwork can give a business a distinctive identity and create a more memorable environment for its visitors.
Based in Buckinghamshire and working across London and the UK, Olivierr creates bespoke commercial murals, hand-painted wall art and spray-painted installations for businesses, brands, retail spaces and leisure venues. Each project is tailored to its setting, combining artistic technique with the character and purpose of the space.
