Over the years, I worked on many projects from painting murals in residential and commercial properties to building props and sculptures.

Having a background in construction (carpenter/handyman) has given me an in depth knowledge of which materials to use for each commission. From using wood and foam to build a giant rabbit in a restaurant, to cutting a bespoke brass sign or even to use plaster to create a fake concrete bar, the possibilities are endless.

Murals

Method: I paint most of my murals using spray paint because of their vibrant colours and ability to dry so quickly. They are also the second strongest paint I know (after enamel paint) their biggest drawback is the smell of the fumes. I mainly use MTN 94 spray cans for their low pressure, they are great for details, MTN Hardcorefor their very vibrant glossy colours, and a mix of other paints including Montana cans special effects range. For the background paint, and whenever I’m asked to paint just using water-based paints, I use Leyland trade or Dulux trade because they are easy to apply, they cover well and they are affordable and durable.

Time: 2 hours minimum for live art and lessons. The murals can take anywhere from 3 hours to multiple days.

Size: Any

Price: the price is determined by the size, the location, the use (residential, commercial, advert) the amount of detail, the height whether or not I can work alone or if there are people present, day or night work and more. The minimum for murals is £700

Consultation via email or phone: You can tell me what you’d like painted and I’ll advise you on the logistics of it. Included

Bespoke Paint effects and scenic art

Method: I paint most of my paint effects using water-based paints. I use Leyland trade or Dulux trade because they are easy to apply, they cover well and they are affordable and durable. When I client needs a paint to have very vibrant colours and great quality I use Little greene because I think their pigments are the best. and when a client needs a very flat matt look, I can use Farrow and Ball.

The beauty of paint effects is that you can get the look that you want when it’s not possible, for example having a solid concrete look on plaster or rusty metal look on plywood.

Time: The scenic art can take anywhere from 1 day to multiple days.

Props & sculptures

Method: I build props and sculptures out of a lot of different materials. Wood and foam are often used because they are so versatile. I also use different metals, either soldered or welded together, as well as foam boards, carton, paper and more.

From building a realistic tree in a restaurant out of carton and expanding foam to a copper lamp or a weathering a plastic clock into an antic looking one, the possibilities are endless.

Time: Props are usually done in multiple days, depending on the brief.

Size: small to medium size

Price: the price is determined by the size, the material used, the use (residential, commercial, advert) the work involved and more.
